Rare pierces Posted December 10, 2013 Author #2376 Share Posted December 10, 2013 A few shots from the weekend. A little post-processing fun on some. Grandson in surprisingly good high school production of the Miracle Worker Stage light shadows Granddaughter in a very cold and rainy Christmas parade Old-timey car with an old-timey filter Been a while since there was a problem with that switch... Did I mention that it was cold and rainy? It felt good to get out and shoot! Dave

LiftLockCouple Posted December 11, 2013 #2379 Share Posted December 11, 2013 I was on a land trip to France a couple of weeks ago. The first picture is of the Village of Entrepierre, 90 mins north of the Mediterranean coast. It did snow there in Mid Nov while we were visiting. The next couple are in the area between Gap and Briancon in the French Alps. [/img] [/img] [/img]

Rare pierces Posted December 11, 2013 Author #2383 Share Posted December 11, 2013 Snapped a quick shot of the new one as he visited my lap for a few moments this morning. Played with The Topaz B&W effects filters compared to Lightroom tweaking. Original - 1/30s - f/5.6 at iso1600 Topaz B&W Effects - Detail Smooth Lightroom -Creamtone preset Neither conversion took more than a few seconds and I am unsure which one I like best. Both Topaz' and Lightroom's presets are pretty good and there are all kinds of tweaking tools. Boils down to personal preference, I guess. zackiedawg Posted December 16, 2013 #2390 Share Posted December 16, 2013 On the Christmas theme - I got all the outdoor Christmas lights up on Thanksgiving weekend, and added the tree this past Monday, decorating it over the following few days - and finally got the chance last night to take a few pics.
