Thanks for posting these Dave. I love the Bellagio displays.

Your profile says you're in Georgia. Did you recently move there? I thought you lived in California, or am I mistaken?

I recently upgraded to a Nikon D7000 and I can't wait to use it on our next cruise in February and post a few more photos.

Thanks Bryan!

Yes, we are in exile here in Georgia due to employment. We like it here, but it's not home.

BTW, you don't need to cruise to take and post pictures...:D

I'm sorry to hear about unemployment. I've never been to Georgia, but it's on my bucket list, along with a lot of other places :)

I know I don't have to cruise to shoot. I do a lot of shooting, mainly people, but I have a few things I want to try on the cruise.

Finally! Clear and dark!

107 stacked 30s images

I'll try again tonight if the weather holds.

What are you using to merge them? is it HDR?

I have an editor called Corel Paint Shop Pro X3 and I cannot HDR or merge any astrophotography images. Every time I try I lose the image of the planet or star.

Example:

I had to bring up colours in this one from the one below. I also had to mirror it to get the true angle from the telescope.

My issue is that I cannot HDR the above image with anything and I have to edit it manually.

I would really like to know a good program for merging astrophotography images.

Google image stack or stackers, that's the term that will bring up programs to do what you want to do. I've used a couple, but it's been a while and I'm out of practice.
