scubalisa Posted June 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2010 I know about the admission cost for The Boatyard, but does anyone know how much an umbrella for the day costs? Also, what are the price ranges for the food and drinks? Thanks so much!

Sugar*Magnolia Posted July 13, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2010 The Boatyard...we were there Dec 2007, be prepared if you have young teens- if they dare, they will be served alcohol. The food is not good and you'll wait 40+ minutes from when you order. I came to the Barbados boards b/c we will be back this December and want to make sure we have plans other than the Boatyard.. I do admit, the water was beautiful, the sand clean and it was a memorable day.
suzuki Posted July 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2010 Cruisediva the drinking age in Barbados is sixteen and it is the responsibility of the parents to monitor their childrens drinking habits, it is not fair to blame any establishment if you have not done a good job training your children. barbados Posted July 19, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2010 ”The Boatyard...we were there Dec 2007, be prepared if you have young teens- if they dare, they will be served alcohol.” Barbados is a sovereign foreign country. We have our own rules, laws and customs just as Jersey does. When children ***are with their parents***, the drinking age is 10 and up. We believe that the parents know best. Don't you agree? barbados Posted July 29, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 29, 2010 BINGO! Where I grew up in Scotland, kids were served a thimbleful of wine as soon as they could sit at the table. I'm no worse for that tradition...... (hic! :p)
