Arwenmark Posted June 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2010 Does anyone know how strict VA is on the 6 hour prior to flight upgrade rule? there website says if you check in online within 6 hours of your flight you can pay less and get an upgrade to first class if available. Question is if the flight leaves at say 4:40 then does that mean that you can do it starting at 10:40? or is it more like 10:00 or 10:30 or even earlier? This is only one remaining first class on my flight I want to try at the earliest possible time. and if you check in prior to that time you cannot do the upgrade online after that. So anyone know how strict they are about the time it becomes available?
mjesf Posted June 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2010 Because of the way the software is written, six hours means six hours. Not six hours and one second, not six hours and one minute. Six hours. Which means you should be prepared to check in at the 10:40 mark.
