binoculars

Recommended Posts

May I have some opinions regarding the usefulness of binoculars on a Baltics curise. No doubt to have them in Alaska or Panama Canal, but is there a lot one would like to see up close in the Baltics. If I wouldn't miss anything really spectacular, I'd prefer not to have the extra item.

Thanks, Phyllis

We have a small pair I take along .... you just never know when they may come in handy

Yep; us too... A travel-pair is ideal. Compact & lightweight. I always have them hung round my neck when 'at-sea'... You never know what might pop its head up!

Eiher that, or a nice D-SLR with a BIG lens :D

I always take a small pair when ever I'm out and about. I would not want to be on any cruise without them. Years ago I invested in a very small pair of Ziess that fit in a pocket. That was money well spent for all the use I've gotten from them.
