KenM Posted July 6, 2010 #51 Share Posted July 6, 2010 I have been in the MDR on other Celebrity ships but didn't bother to go to the MDR on the Solstice because Blu was so good.. I would agree that both are good OR I wouldn't be cruising on this line..
Sparkle 123 Posted July 7, 2010 #52 Share Posted July 7, 2010 Yes I agree although we have always enjoyed the meals in the MDR now that we have experienced Blu we have really been spoilt! Also Blu has its own galley and the meals are cooked "a la minute" plus we were told all the veg is organic. KenM Just out of interest, I noticed you had Wilmer as your waiter. Is it this guy by any chance? (The one in the middle!!)
DWIN1050 Posted July 7, 2010 Author #53 Share Posted July 7, 2010 I guess this means I will need to study both the Blu and the MDR menus:eek:
igot2cruz Posted July 7, 2010 #54 Share Posted July 7, 2010 Thanks so much for all the information from everyone who responded to the OP. Can not wait for our first cruise on Celebrity in AquaClass. Sounds like Blu is exactly what we were looking for.
KenM Posted July 10, 2010 #55 Share Posted July 10, 2010 NO that was not Wilmer in the picture. That looked like one of the two Maitre'd in BLU. He was very good
DWIN1050 Posted July 12, 2010 Author #56 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Just wondering if there are anymore favorites? I am getting so excited we are down to 1 month to go.
Rare Lois R Posted July 24, 2010 #57 Share Posted July 24, 2010 This thread is FABULOUS:D I am sailing on Sept 5th. I booked one night in Tuscan Grille and one in Murano's. Now I am not even sure if I should just cancel them and dine in Blu all 7 nights!
NanaL Posted July 24, 2010 #58 Share Posted July 24, 2010 Does Blu have seating times like th MDR or can you go anytime you want? If you go anytime is there a line waiting to get in? Someone told me you have to make resies. How does it all work?

From what I have read there are no lines as they have enough seats for the amount of cabins....AQ only holds 2 people per stateroom. And no, you don't have to make a reservation. I can't wait to eat there:D
