epixx Posted July 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2010 Has anyone gone kayaking in Victoria (http://www.kelpreef.com/)? Was it quiet and scenic or busy and hectic?
Putterdude Posted July 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2010 I haven't kayaked in Victoria but recognize the three tours on their website and would suggest that any of them would be enjoyable. Victoria has a population of only 350,000 or so ...so while you are kayaking in somewhat of an urban environment there is lots of interesting coast line to explore. No it should not prove to be congested.
quincytoo Posted July 5, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2010 Should be great :) I had a friend kayakking off of Sidney once and she saw a big black shape in the water coming slowly up to her.....up pops the head of a Killer Whale who looked her and her kayak over...decided sheand Kayak were not seals and continued to swim along side of her for awhile, both just hanging out enjoying each others company and a beautiful day. I would love to have that happen to me, I mean the orca deciding I was a suitable swimming companion and not lunch :D
porsena Posted July 6, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2010 Kayaking is a popular sport around Victoria. You could also look at the kayak tours offered by Ocean River.
