orangegrove Posted July 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2010 We are on the Epic next week, most people have not taken this ship, however, many of you have been on a b2b. We are in the same cabin for both cruises. Do we need to get off so they can clear the ship?
bluesea777 Posted July 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2010 Yes, you'll need to get off to go thru Immigration. After that you can get back on ship before the new pax. Since NCL offers (and you booked) the b2b as one 14 day cruise they will let you know the procedures. We're on b2b on EPIC next month.

Newtonville Dan Posted July 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2010 We did a Back to Back on the Dawn this past Feb. in Miami. It was a breeze. My advice is, stay on the ship as long as possible. 11:00 - 11:30. There will be announcements. We hung out at the lounge on the pool deck having fun with the few servers and bartender, who had not much to do. Eventually the people go away. What a weird feeling, like you're the only passengers on board. So then you get off the ship with only documents in hand. No lineups. Go through customs and immigration. Fast. Go out one door and back in another. There was a large lineup and we thought, " Oh no, what have we here?" Within a few minutes we saw a NCL person policing the line and we approached and asked about B2B passengers. The NCL rep said " Back to Back? Right this way sir" We were then escorted to the front of the various line ups. 2 or 3. and ended up in a large waiting area with water and juice with about 200 other people who had obviously been there a while. After about a half an hour we went back on ship, before the new passengers. I don't think we were off the ship for an hour. Once back on, of course the cabins were closed off for housekeeping, but we managed to sneak back to our cabin, because after already being on the ship for 9 days you feel like you own it. ( kidding) We grabbed our suits and headed back to the pool deck. At the pool deck we grabbed two great spots and proceeded to welcome the newbies aboard. It was really neat to see everybody wandering around as they were exploring the ship for the first time. We became the unofficial welcoming party with people asking about where is this? and where is that?, How does this work? We met some great people that we had fun with the rest of the cruise. After it was all said and done, We had a great day (and cruise) and our three new favourite words were: "Back to Back", because they were always followed with, " Right these way sir". By the way, another perk is, you may not be required to participate in the muster drill. We went to our assigned area and our names were not on the list. After confirming we were B2B the official stated, "Oh, you two don't have to do this because you are B2B. On the way back to our cabin we encountered many NCL people saying, "No, this way please". We just said "Back to Back". The response was "Oh, Back to Back, No problem". Our three new favourite words. Have a great cruise Newtonville Dan
