'The Legends Show' Question

We will be cruising on Freedom in October and I have a question about the 'Legends Show'.

 

Does anyone know if they will have tracts and a costume for someone to be Wynonna Judd?

 

A friend of our got to be Elton John on Dream in June but I was told that they don't have "everyone" to chose from.

 

I would love to be Reba but I don't have time to lose 100 pounds. ; }

Sorry to inform you that the "Legends" are all set, and don't include Wynonna, or Reba. We who do the show often, are trying to get them to upgrade the legends, but so far, no luck in getting that done. Having said that, the current legends are:

James Brown

Aretha Franklin

Elton John

Madonna

Garth Brooks

Britney spears

Ricky Martin

Gloria Estefan

Elvis Presley

Frank Sinatra

The music for these is cast in stone, and can't be changed, or even the key changed. It is a GREAT show, but it's kind of "up in the air" if some of these folks are, or ever have been,,,,LEGENDS! ;)

A couple years ago, we had a rather, non-traditional....Brittney. It was, um, interesting...

 

On that note, our neighbor was Sir Elton John, and he - according to the cruise people - was one of the best they'd ever have! He was SO...the part!

 

I wish they had Pat Benatar... ;)

Aretha once - NEVER AGAIN

Brittney Spears - that was a lot of fun

Gloria Estefan - twice

Elton John - YES, you read that correctly. (LONG STORY)

 

And two "surprise" parts that are usually done by Entertainment Staff....

( I don't want to ruin it for first timers)

 

I highly recommend giving it a try.

 

And don't worry about losing any weight...they have costumes for every size.

You are correct about that. That is how I got tricked into being Aretha.

The karaoke host (now a good friend of mine ) fibbed. He told me they could do it in a certain key. They can't.

 

The music is actually all recorded...the "orchestra" just does fill work.

My granddaughter was Brittany Spears last year. It's fun to have a family member in the Legends show! She was only 17, but no one questioned her being in the kareoke lounge to audition.

my friend was james brown on the miracle last year! it was funny...he's a white jewish kid with a jewfro and all, and he beat out a middle aged black guy for the part. he was awesome

We have seen it about 6x and really with they would change some of the legends.

 

Luckily we can find other entertainment the night it is done.
