Car Rental Return ~ Port of Miami

We're going on our first cruise - RCCL Explorer of the Seas. We'll need to return a rental car prior to boarding the ship and are having trouble figuring out the best way of doing this. Are there car rental return lots at the Port of Miaim? If not, do the car rental companies run shuttles to the port or will we need a taxi?

Enterprise is just on the other side of the causeway, and they have a shuttle to the port. We rented a car at Ft lauderdale airport, and returned it near the port. Worked out fine

All of the major rental companies have shuttles to the cruise port.

I've used Alamo several times and got the best rates and great service.

We are using Alamo for our next cruise. They will shuttle you right to the pier.

One caution about travelling with children and renting with Alamo that we discovered in November -- they do not have car seats for children over 40 pounds at the Miami location.

Does anyone know if Thrifty Car Rental has a kiosk near the Port? We are arriving in Miami this Thursday and spending a few days at Disney, then driving back to Miami and were planning to return the car to the airport the night before the cruise because we thought there were no car rentals near the Port? :confused:
