BowensMommy Posted July 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2010 I finally bought my Wedding dress yesterday!! :D (Wedding is Nov 2010!). Since I'm getting married on the beach I wanted something light weight, flowy, and good for the beach. Ironically, this wasnt easy to find. Most wedding dress are stiff, heavy, and thick  So in case anyone else is on the hunt for a perfect destination wedding dress, I thought I'd share a group of designers with you all... Essence of Australia Ella and Martina Liana They are all grouped together as "sister designers". I went to many stores and didnt even try-on a single dress! Luckily I found these dresses online and located a store. My dress is an Essence of Australia. But there many dresses by these designers that I loved! They are ideal for all of you destination (well... cruise) brides. I hope this helps out someone!! :)

crystalbeachcruisers Posted August 11, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2010 I got my dress this weekend for my October wedding. I am just wearing an off-white cocktail dress. I found it at Neiman Marcus way marked down. So excited. But I ordered the shoes yesterday and I really hope they fit. When I saw them in a local store, I knew they were "my" shoes, but they didn't have any where near my size. So I went back to work and found them online. http://www.onlineshoes.com/womens-j-renee-vanda-bone-tumbled-met-pearl-p_id181006 Judy

How bad would that look in pictures? Her dress can be seen here th4e light version.. http://www.jadefashion.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=426&pattern_id=47&osCsid=0b47f980e6d212a7bf8942d1d84ec509 All input is welcome !!! I love your wedding dress! If you're worried about colors, why not this one? http://www.jadefashion.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=249&osCsid=0b47f980e6d212a7bf8942d1d84ec509 It's very similar. Theknot.com says this: "Traditionally, the flower girl was dressed in the same hue as the bride (white, ivory, or cream). But there are no rules -- simply dress your flower girl in the same color as your bridesmaids or use her dress to call out your accent color." smoosh28 Posted August 26, 2010 #9 Share Posted August 26, 2010 That Kaanapali pattern was the other one I was looking at, but really fell in love with the pattern of the molokai ...with the print just at the bottom. Also the pattern i picked for my dress, the men's version would not be very flattering on hubby-to-be, which is why he will be in the mens version of kaanapali, the same as our daughter. Still not sure how it will all look when we are all together , but it beats jeans & a t-shirt. We are getting married in Hell after all !!
