CruisinRin Posted February 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2005 Hi, I will be on Grand Cayman in May. I will have my 3 year old and 18-month old. We will be there with several other family members as well. I know some people are thinking of stingray city. But, I 'm not sure if that's right for my babies. I've read that there are strong currents at the snorkeling spots. Is there any beach or activity that you suggest for us? I've read about Sea Grape, but I've heard you have go down a slope to get to ocean. My kids might have some difficulties with this. Have any other beaches opened up since the hurricane? Thanks for your advice, Corinne
Guest Time2gocruzn Posted February 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2005 We are going with my 4 year old and 21 month old. We are doing the Naitiveways island tour/stingray sandbar combo. Here is their website http://www.nativewaywatersports.com/ Here is a thread with a little more info http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=128455 The sand bar is more shallow so we are able to stand and hold the kids. OR if they don't want to get in, dad and I can take turns. I have read and been told over and over that the sting rays are not to be missed and I also wanted to see the usual places here, hell, turtle farm, rum factory, etc. This tour covers it all and is priced very fair! Guest Time2gocruzn Posted February 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2005 Sure! We are taking grandma and grandpa with us so hopefully between the four of us we will be able to make this work with the kids. The ONLY thing I am worried about is the screaming. I don't think my 4 yo would be scared but I am worried that when he hears all these grown people screaming it is really going to freak him out!
