Susan-M Posted July 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Congratulations ... that will go a long ways towards beverage, specialty dining, spa, shore excursion, etc. expenses!:) Did you also qualify for the "Freeup" promotion (verandah for the price of an OV)? p.s. Scratch that last question ... I see on their website that pricing for verandahs (1B & 1C) is the same as for OV's.
geocruiser Posted July 12, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Yes we got a ocean view price for a verandah. Than gave us 1,000. OBC. Then the Sail away sail gave us another $500. Maria
jwitt2 Posted July 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2010 We also booked today for 12 days on Journey on March 23,2011 and got the verandah at outside price and $1500 OBC. I noticed when I looked at Azamara's website last night that the itinerary has changed from the printed notice we received earlier. Instead of St. Croix, it goes to St. John, USVI and instead of Guadeloupe, it goes to Nevis. DH is a bit miffed that I didn't point it out to him before he booked, preferred the original ports. We were just in Nevis in Jan. I am happy to be going on such a nice ship. We went to Bermuda on her for our 40th anniversary when Azamara first started back in 1997. Had a wonderful suite for a very reasonable price. The staff was wonderful, especially Carla in the specialty dining room.
geocruiser Posted July 12, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted July 12, 2010 I believe Guadeloupe was the port on our last AZ cruise that lots of the PAX did n't like. I loved it and was one of lthe few who did. St. John, USVI is very nice. Maria
tgg Posted July 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 12, 2010 We went to Bermuda on her for our 40th anniversary when Azamara first started back in 1997. Perhaps it was 2007. These ships were sailing for Renaissance in 1997.:)
