Santorini on Celebrity Equinox..??

Hi there - hope I'm not breaking any rules here, there seem to be a ton.

 

We have arranged for a car in Santorini and the company needs clarification on what port we arrive at. I know we are tendered from the ship..

 

I gather it is Old Thira and then you go up by cable car or donkey. Is there easy transportation from there to Athinios port and how long does that take.

 

Apparently the car can be waiting at either. Which would experts recommend.

Hi David,

Unless Celebrity has changed their policy, they will only take you to Athinios if you are on a cruise line excursion.

Athinios is the dock for ferries, so the car company is probably just checking whether you're coming by ferry or cruise ship.
