If anyone wants to read a good book related to this topic, try to find a book called "in the heart of the sea' by a guy called Nathan Philbrick (I think thats how you spell it.

Many do not know that Moby Dick was actually based on a true story of a 1800's whaling ship from Nantucket that was wrecked by a whale about 500 miles west of Tahiti. aroun 30 sailors went into small whaling boats and sailed east for around 3-4 month towards Chile - to survive they began to eat each other as they perished. Only half a dozen survived - some were loeft on a deserted island part way across the sea - their bodies discovered a few years later.

"In the heart of hte sea" tells the true story of this event - I read it on my last cruise.

Good book for those that like sea related stories - its non-fiction though!
