Zoolander Posted July 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Considering that there is only one specialty restaurant on the Navigator, does anybody have any suggestions on getting a second reservation? Our next cruise will be 10 nights. My wife will be celebrating her 60th while on our cruise in the Caribbean this January. While on the Mariner last year in Alaska we got our two specialty restaurant nights in early and spent the rest of the week trying to get a second night at the steak house. Um. No chance. We LOVED Prime 7. Anyway... any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.
Travelcat2 Posted July 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Last year P-7 was quite new and everyone was trying to get reservations. Things have slowed down a bit. We had no difficulty getting two reservations on our 14 night cruise in May. The best thing to do to get a second reservation is be flexible. They may have to put you at a table for four at a time that would not be your first choice. Good luck:)
SanFranCruizer Posted July 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2010 We went twice on a 7-night cruise. We had a res there the second night and then at the end of dinner we mentioned if anything opened up later in the week to let us know. The maitre d left us a message asking if we would like to dine the second to last night at 8 pm. We said sure. Again, it comes down to being flexible. People do cancel. Zoolander Posted July 23, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted July 23, 2010 Thanks for the tips and advice. Great... be spontaneous/flexible (we normally dine and hit the hay early). So, concerning dining while cruising, late reservations have not been our specialty. But for this restaurant, I would make an effort to make it happen. Thanks again.
