Holdren2011 Posted March 25, 2014 #51 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Is it hard to get a reservation once on the ship? I know you can reserve ahead of time but i was wondering if i would have the same availability to reserve once i am on the ship?
Ken at the beach Posted March 25, 2014 #52 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Is it hard to get a reservation once on the ship? I know you can reserve ahead of time but i was wondering if i would have the same availability to reserve once i am on the ship? We have never had problems making reservations on the ship as long as we make the reservations the first day. They will fill up as the week goes on and you may be out of luck if you leave it too long.
bigque Posted March 25, 2014 Author #53 Share Posted March 25, 2014 WOW! Someone went back and pulled a thread I started back in 2010! I thought I was in the Twilight Zone! To answer your question though I believe that you can make a reservation on the ship!
Donut23 Posted March 26, 2014 #54 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Careful. There is a new test menu working on the Navigator. Hopefully it will not make it fleet wide. There have been 2 or 3 very active threads working the last month or so about it. Fee increases to $35 Most steaks have an a la cart additional cost $19-$26 Baked potatoe gone, replaced with cheese tater tots (Tourette's kicking in now) Crab cake appetizer gone Other changes but must stop now and call the crisis hotline.........sigh. We were married on the Radiance in Juneau years ago and our reception was simply dinner in Chops. We are returning with friends for our Anniversary in 67 days. Our reservations are made for Chops unless the menu has changed....we will cancel the dinner reservation.
Holdren2011 Posted March 26, 2014 #55 Share Posted March 26, 2014 So since I plan on waiting until I board to make my reservation I'll be able to take a look at the menu/prices before I reserve, correct? This disappoints me 😣
riclop Posted March 26, 2014 #56 Share Posted March 26, 2014 I am looking at making a reservation for chops on my upcoming cruise. I don't mind paying but what I would like to know is how is the food compared to eating in the MDR? Is it more for the atmospshere or do they have specialty items on the menu there that are not on the menu in the MDR? I want to try it out as Chops was not on the last cruise I was on. Its much better.

Clarea Posted April 17, 2014 #58 Share Posted April 17, 2014 Once you board the ship, where do you go to make the reservation? To the restaurant in which you wish to dine.
