Cruisin 4 Ever Posted July 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2010 We are going on Carnival Valor in October We never book excursions through the cruiseline but want to this time as I"m a worrywart and will worry we won't make last tender otherwise. We are doing more "adventure" type stuff in the other ports so thought it would be good to do the ruins in Belize. Can anyone who has gone tell me if this excursion is first thing in the am? I'd like to have some time to look around the port when we get back.
PinkJellyFish06 Posted July 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2010 I did the Altun Ha & River Wallace tour last summer. We were the last ones back on the boat. Good thing we did it through Carnival. I really enjoyed this excursion but would have liked to have had time to look around the port area & shop.
dizneefreak28 Posted July 26, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2010 I've been to Belize 3 times and have done Altun Ha twice. We always book through a private company and never have had any problems. We had lunch at their plantation and then spent and hour and a half at the ruins and still had time at the port to shop. The port in Belize is nothing like other Caribbean ports. There isn't a whole lot to see/do there.
Rare printingchick Posted July 26, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2010 I've been and it's a nice day. We booked through shoretrips and had no problems. We were back on the ship in PLENTY of time.
erinmarie424 Posted July 27, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2010 We booked through Carnival, and got back to the pier about 45 minutes before the last tender left, so we had a little bit of time to look in a few of the shops right there.
