Atlantis Day pass update - summer 2010

Although restriction information has been posted many times here in the last few weeks, the day pass restrictions have recently been extended into mid August.

There is a post on the Trip Advisor with more details.

More disappointed people being turned away.

Thanks, Scubagirrl! Do you know if that includes Digs passes too? I wasn't sure where to look on Trip Advisor.

Although there is no talk about the DIGS passes, they too, are said to be restricted based on occupancy. So it stands to reason that the day passes are not being sold due to occupancy, that the DIGS would be the same.

I don't think you'll get a definitive answer. Atlantis is not known for giving correct information. It will be hit of miss.

Scubagirl...when I stopped by Atlantis to look around in May as we walked outside I saw a diver going into an aquarium to do cleaning. He told us to take the elevator that was located outside & go downstairs to look around in the aquarium. This was the aquarium that has the glass wall where people were eating in a restaurant area in the lobby.

However, as we got near the end of walking thru this aquarium a staff member asked if we were staying at the hotel (we weren't) and escorted us back thru the aquarium to the lobby to purchase a day pass. She gave us a little card with her name on it so I wasn't sure if she got credit if we had bought a pass. Were we in an area that is restricted to pass holders/guests or were we in an area open to the general public? Wanted to know for future reference as a friend is heading to Nassau this weekend & if that area was free they wanted to go & look around. Thanks!

The area that you talk about used to be open to the public, but is no longer. You now need a pass to go downstairs toe the restaruant or thru the aquarium.

Thanks for clearing that up. - so pretty much you can shop, go in the casino, or give them your money for a pass to look at anything else - lol.

Hey dolphin girl, you seem to know very much about all this, I have never been to Atlantis and want to hit it when I sail in September, should I wait to just book it on the boat to see if they are even allowing people to visit? Also, is the dolphin adventure there include the beach access also?

Since sept weather can be iffy, I'd wait and see what the weather holds before booking.

As for the Dolphin adventure it does NOT include access to a beach that you can go in the water. Dolphin Cay Beach is for sunning only.. you cannot go in the water.. It is not an ocean beach, but a manmade pond for the dophins.
