vacation_junkie Posted July 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2010 Hmmm...Belize is one of our stops on our upcoming cruise...what is there to do? We are not into doing too many excursions. Is there shopping and stuff to do right at port?
momfor2girls Posted July 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2010 I haven't been to Belize but my nephew and his wife just came back. She was saying there were a few shops but really not anything else.
Rare crewsweeper Posted July 27, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2010 Hmmm...Belize is one of our stops on our upcoming cruise...what is there to do? We are not into doing too many excursions. Is there shopping and stuff to do right at port? There are shops in the Tourist Village (and a couple of restaurants/bars) where the ships'tenders dock. There are some small shops just outside the TV and a short distance away is a "flea market". Mostly these sell the typical tourist stuff and there are the ubitquious jewelery stores. But this isn't a shopping port like some places. Get off the ship, spend a little bit of time strolling along the TV then go have a Belikin and some conch fritters at the Wet Lizard:) and head back to the nearly empty ship for some quiet time.
