suscruise Posted July 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2010 I know that the time in port is not the same as ship time. What is the difference in Belize and Roatan?
LostAgain Posted July 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2010 This is what I understand to be true for our trip next month -- 8 am ship time is equal to 6 am Belize time
Will in sunny FL Posted July 31, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2010 Belize is one time zone behind EDT & does not observe DST. So when the EDT in the US is 8 AM, Belize would be 6 AM as previously stated. And when the EDT switches to EST, then there is only one hour difference. Carnival ships sailing from the east coast are always on that time zone for ships time. Bill in FL
NextOne Posted August 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2010 Does anyone know if the NCL Spirit stays on EST (in November) or switches to local time? Thanks!

NextOne Posted August 10, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2010 Does anyone know if the NCL Spirit stays on EST (in November) or switches to local time? Thanks! I think I've answered my own question. Because New Orleans is on central time, from Nov. to March, ship's time and Belize time appear to be the same. I hope!

Toyz711 Posted August 10, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 10, 2010 had a december cruise, on the NCL spirit...times were the same, since new orleans and belize/roatan are in the same time zone. if the ship comes from miami, time zones will be different. when we did alaska, on NCL, they changed to local time. watch the dailies..if the ship changes time, it will be posted there.
