Weird question

Has anyone ever called Carnival up the day before a cruise sailing and asked to pay for a upgrade at a discounted rate?We know the cruise we are going on has at least 105 better cabins still empty. Just wondering if this ever has come up before. Thought I might give it a try. Janet

Did you book a specific cabin or a Guar?

By that time all of the guarantees will have already been upgraded. Typically what will be left, if anything, will be lesser accomodations than you already have.

Carnival does not upgrade at the pier, and the "No Upgrades Available" sign will be in clear view at the Purser's Desk after you board.
