Self-disembarkation or US Direct?

I asked this on the Princess thread but I'd like a particular Alaska-related response.

 

We have a 12:45 PM flight home from Vancouver. Are we better off doing US Direct--which I assume requires us to buy a Princess transfer which we haven't yet done--or doing self-disembarkation and moving ourselves through the transport and customs/immigration lines ourselves? (We're on the Diamond which is slated to arrive in Vancouver at 7:30 AM.)

 

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Either will work for you, just depends if you want to handle your own bags, transfer and add time in a customs line, VS, US Direct- IF your airline participates.

Time wise your flight is definitely late enough to self disembark without worrying.

You have lots of time, you do not need to use US Direct unless you want to. A cab fare from Canada Place to YVR will cost you about $35. If you have resonable mobility and can handle your own luggage you could walk over to the Waterfront Station where you can take the new Canada Line out to YVR for $3.75 (CDN) each..$2.50 if you are over 65.
