Blue hole

Has anyone done a trip to the blue hole from the tender pier in Belize? If so, how long does it take and can you snorkel when there? Thanks

I beleive it's about 45 miles from the tender pier. You'll need to charter a boat to get there and will therefore spent most of your time in port traveling between the two places. You might be able to snorkel there but it's mostly divers that go. IMO a bit too far and probably too expensive to reach. However, there are excellent reef snorkeling ops around th earea and the snorkel packages off the ships' excursions can be pretty good.

You might want to check out Coral Breeze Tours web site for some fine snorkeling trips including one with a local lunch on Caye Caulker. They have done well by us for the last six years, two times a year.
