Shore excursions Dawn Princess Sydney to Queensland

Hi all,

 

My husband and I are in our early 40's and will be departing on out first cruise on 14th October from Sydney to Queensland on the Dawn Princess.

 

I have received the shore excursions information, but I cannot decide.

 

Would anyone, have recommendations?

 

I thought about spending a day at Daydream Island from Airlie Beach, but this tendering process has me a bit concerned about the timing etc.

love love love Daydream. We used to go there for the day, via our jetski! Launch from Shute Harbour dash across, moor there, then waddle about like "uptown" guests from the resort :D ha ha ha! Was always a really nice day.

 

haven't been there for quite a few years now though.

 

I posted here a while back a link re boat cruises for the day. I also thought the island hopper cruisers were good value too. You get to see a few islands, and prattle about on them, before heading back to the mainland.
