What's the news from Bermuda on hurricane/ tropical storm Colin?

Just saw sustained winds dropped to 45 miles p/hr.

Expected to intensify again tonight but it's a tropical storm not hurricane and hopefully it'll stay that way and just weaken and blow away.

Small craft advisory in effect.

Keep your fingers crossed.

I think you sail this sunday right?

We go in 3 weeks.

Check http://www.weather.bm/index.asp and http://www.weather.bm/tropical.asp for the most recent status of the storm (not forecast to be a hurricane).

 

So far, we are expecting the worst to be Sat night - it'll still be pretty lumpy out there at sea on Sun, it wouldn't surprise me if they delay the arrival of Sunday's ship a bit to let the worst of it blow away to the north and northeast, but it should be long gone by Tuesday.

Good news! We don't sail til September, but the quick story on our local news made it look like it was expected to reorganize to hurricane status. Good to hear that it's not as bad as they made out! (And hope it stays that way)

I agree! we sail the Dawn to Bermuda on 29th.
