Is it do-able to walk to the Naples Archeology Museum from the port of Naples?

Via the most direct walking route, the museum is 1.3 miles from the cruise port, some of this uphill.

 

However, if you get off the ship early, you'll have time to kill on the way since the museum doesn't open until 9 AM (museum web site here: http://museoarcheologico****onale.campaniabeniculturali.it/?set_language=en).

 

You can take a slightly longer, but in my opinion nicer, route to the museum from the cruise port if you walk up Via Toledo. Going this way adds a couple of tenths of a mile (it makes it about a mile and a half), but it has the supreme benefit of placing you at Mary's in the galleria in the morning, the best time to get a hot sfogliatella (La Sfogliatella Mary) before walking up Via Toledo to the museum.
