Will be doing a cruise to Canada/New England in OCT. Anyone know if there are any places that offer Hot Air Balloon rides in Saint John or Halifax?

There is a town outside of Saint John - Sussex - it hosts the Atlantic International Balloon Festival in September. Outside of that festival I don't know if there are balloon rides offered locally - however a good place to start is to email them and I'm sure they will provide you with accurate info. There are none in Halifax for sure. You really need to be in a place with open fields and not too much water. We had balloon rides in our village in northern Nova Scotia this summer and they had problems with our seaside location and the winds. It was the first time they had been to Nova Scotia.

 

Sussex is a great location. I have a friend who went in the Napa Valley, CA. That would be lovely.
