Tampa..car at port or hotel?

I am trying to figure out which is cheaper...when I cruise from Port Canaveral, it is actually cheaper for me to stay in a hotel overnight and park my car for free all week.

I know Tampa port charges $14/day I think, so am hoping that someone may know of a cheaper alternative to stay in a hotel and park for free?? Thanks for any info.

we are staying at the holiday inn express, it has gotten great reviews free shuttle to and from airport, port and a 4 mile reduis from hotel. rockey point 99.00 per night parking is 15.00 per day........so this is a good deal
