Venice - early ship arrival, late flight

Our ship returns to Venice early in the morning and our flight is at 6pm. Are there any hotels that we can use for the day (shower, rest). We don't want to wait at the airport for 6 hours and don't want to stay in the sun with our luggage all day. Any suggestions?

Who are you sailing with? If it's Royal Caribbean they are offering a new idea where, for a fee, you can stay onboard until just before the ship departs and make use of all the facilities (except your stateroom) :)

I've never looked for a day room in Venice, so I can't help there.

 

Why not just store your luggage (at the train station or elsewhere) and enjoy the city for the day?
