Booking Advice ~ PVP or Online?

Hello! I'm wondering if there are any advantages to using a Carnival "Personal Vacation Planner" to book our cruise vs simply booking online with Carnival.com?? I called Carnival about a week ago and had my maiden name changed to my married name on my prior guest ID. Since calling I've already gotten two emails from my PVP and a phone call. I was just going to book online at Carnival but now I am wondering... Any opinions about either way?? I'm booking Monday for our February cruise!! YAY!!!! :)

Why not call your PVP so she can make sure all the i's are dotted and t's crossed.

 

You read of someone who didnt uncheck a box and was charged the full amount who was booking online etc.

PVP can show you all the cabins available in a particular Categor versus the max of 10 that you can see on-line and the PVP can possibly identify a better rate that you might not be aware of. ken

One reason to use a pvp is that not all availble cabins are shown online. They only 10 cabins in each cat at a time.

PVP can see more available cabins than you will on Carnival's web site. Look over the deck plans and pick several cabins that appeal to you and then call the PVP. ;)

I was looking at a 4A online and called my PVP. She got me a 4C for 10 dollars more. Plus a great location..

Pretty vague info, can you please tell us the regards.

 

I have booked with travel agents, carnival online and with PVP. I must say I'd book again with a PVP just for the fact they have up to date information and they are w/Carnival but if your looking for anything after that from them, at least in my previous experiences there is nothing they can give you further except for customer service.

PVP>Carnival Site>Travel Agent.... HTH
