Moonstoners Posted February 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2005 We'll be cruising on the Splendour of the Seas, out of Galveston, on December 24, 2005. Departure time is scheduled for 5 p.m., according to the RCCL website. What would the boarding time be? R. Aubrey Hawton
rangerdog Posted February 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2005 We went on the Splendor last spring break, and we boarded at 12 noon. We went straight to our room, which was ready, and our luggage was already there. We were eating in the Windjammer at 1pm. We arrived at the port at 10:45 and was the first people to check in. Then, we had to wait until noon to board. It was really quick and smooth. Enjoy your cruise. We LOVED the Splendor!!!
Blizzard54 Posted February 13, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2005 We were able to board the Rhapsody in Galveston at 11:35 last January. We were one of the first onboard. General boarding was about 20 minutes later.
springtxbill Posted February 13, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2005 It should be around 11:30 or noon at the latest. :)
Moonstoners Posted March 25, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted March 25, 2005 Thanks for the information. It's been most useful. We're curious for a number of reasons: Firstly, we'll have two cruisers who are in wheelchairs, and we don't want to have to wait around for long periods of time. Secondly, we'll have a group of young (under 8) kids with us, too. They're even less likely to enjoy a wait! Thirdly, we'd love to get on the ship among the early boarders, since it's our first cruise. That would give us extra time to familiarize ourselves with the Splendour, and to grab a meal at lunch, too! R. Aubrey Hawton
springtxbill Posted March 28, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2005 The wheelchairs will go to the front of the line. We just got back from the Rhapsody and thet started boarding promptly at 12:00. A wedding party was first and then we went on, there were no wheelchairs to board at the time. :)
