Florence on a Sunday

Has anyone been to Florence on a Sunday ? The Queen Elizabeth docks on Sunday at Livorno and I am wondering if it is worth the ship transfer into Florence is worth it if the only place open are museums and none of the shops or other curios. This will be on October 31st.

Would it be more interesting to take one of the "drive tours" that sees the countryside and does not really stop for any length of time. Thanks.

We were in Florence on a Sunday. For the first couple of hours it was a little less crowded than normal but then it became crowded like any other day. Most stores were open although a few were closed. It was well worth the visit.
