Port Liberty place to buy wine

We are planning to stay at the County Inn and Suites in Elizabeth for one pre cruise night per previous recomendations from this board. Is there a place nearby or on the way to the port to buy wine to take onboard? Plus the cruise leaves on a Sunday and here in Arizona you can't buy liquor before 10 AM on a Sunday, are there similar restrictions in N.J. or N.Y.?
