JJC Posted August 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Anyone who had taken the Bannister Beach Break shore tour in Belize who can tell me if they have shuttle boats back and forth to ship or must you stay the entire 4 hours? Going on the Legend end of October. Thanks
joepeka Posted August 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2010 I was going to respond to this on the CCL board but it got moved here before I could. :( We did this excursion (booked thru CCL) a couple of years ago and yes there is a boat to transport you from the Legend to Bannister Island and back again. Since Belize is a tendering port, the ship is anchored offshore and if you book through CCL, they will pick you up at the ship. I believe if you book Bannister through an independant excursion firm, they tender you from the ship to the dock in Belize then you catch another boat from the dock to the island. joepeka Posted August 25, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2010 I just re-read your question and realized I didn't answer it. On the excursion we did, there were no constantly running shuttle boats between the ship and the island. It was about a 20-30 minute ride and there was just the one boat that took us from the Legend to the island and back again, 4 hours later. So yes, if you go on that excursion, you're stuck on the island for the entire tour - unless you become ill or injured in which case I'm sure they would get you back to the ship.
