Mrs. Kujobie won the slot tournament on our last cruise. $500, t-shirt, polo shirt, and trophy. Cool thing was we were platinum, so our entry was complimentary. We didn't spend a penny.

I love the slot tournaments even though I never do well. Last cruise I spent $50 for a keychain and a t-shirt lol!! :p

A lady on the Carnival Conquest on the 08/08 saling won $16,000 on the slots.

Was wondering if you have ever hit it big in a ship casino ? I have done all right but never hit real big on any of my 11 cruises.

 

we did pretty well on RCI Mariner this summer......two Royal Flushes on video poker machines ($4000 each) and Four Aces WITH the kicker for another $4000 each.......and LOTS of other wins between $400 and $800 but that just goes back into the machine quickly when you are playing max bet at $1 and NOT quarters......so it depends on what you consider "big"......

 

Nice thing though was NO 1099's issued! Which was a surprise.....but we weren't going to ASK why not!

 

And of course we did not bring it all home....but it was nice to win enough to keep handing out hundred dollar bills to all of my"big" kids in order for them to keep gambling.

 

It is all relative.....we LOVE to gamble and win or lose, we are going to play from the beginning of the cruise till then end.....

Last cruise, one of the ladies in our group won the slot pull which included a free cruise I believe in November to play for $20,000 grand prize.

Another Lady in our group who didn't even frequent the casino was watching the slot pull finals, put a few quarters in a slot and won $1,400.

Not to worry though, RCCL isn't going broke thanks to me :(. I'm sure they will be able to pay for fuel and keep the lights on for a few more cruises. :D:D:D

Last cruise, a gentleman sat down next to me at the video poker machines, and 5 minutes later scored a royal flush. He was playing $5 a hand (accidentally), so he ended up winning several thousand dollars. It was his first Carnival cruise. He said that he usually plays $1 a hand, but that somehow he had selected $5 and hadn't noticed.

I won $1700 on a slot machine on the first night.

 

On the last night (on a different cruise) I wasn't paying attention - thought I was playing quarter video poker - hit 4 aces, then hit 4 of kind again. I just so happened to look down and realized that I was playing dollars(!!!). I cashed out at $1200. Woo-hoo!

PS: I can't believe someone would not bet the max on a machine as it maximizes your odds.

Yes, in 2008 I won a total of $5500 on 3 different cruises. $2000 on the $1 Wheel of Fortune (Conquest), $1000 on the $1 Wheel of Fortune spinning the big wheel (Valor) and $2500 on a .25 machine (Glory) that I just happened to sit down at while I was waiting on the $1 Wheel of Fortune to be available.

 

On almost every cruise I've ever been on I've had a single spin win of at least $200 and average "winning" back 80 to 90% of the money I've taken to "lose"

 

I budget $100 for each port day and $200 for each sea dayand I only take that amount of cash with me into the casino. At the end of the day however much I have left in my players bank I cash out and pay against my S&S card.

We were on the glory in Dec 09, my husband left the art auction and when he returned he said someone hit the jackpot for 97.0000 thousand dollars. WOW!! Then right behind them someone hit it for 10,000. I also read this year someone on the oasis hit it for 125,000.

Had a few. Sat down at what I thought was black jack. Nope. Caribbean Stud Poker. My buddy was helping me bet when I hit a striaght flush. Freaked him the hell out.:D Too bad the dealer wasn't able to open.

 

I have the winning picture that the casino employees took sitting right here on my desk. That's why I was able to pull up the above stats so easily.:p

Our first cruise on the Sensation-- first day-- the casino was opened not even 10 minutes-- and there is my momma sitting at a nickle machine after winning 2500.00.

 

Do you remember which machine? We'll be on the Sensation in a couple of days!

Any big winners on the Miracle?

Three years ago we were on the Miracle. There are a bank of $1.00 Wheel of Fortune's right next to the bar, and they seemed to pay out well. I also played a lot of the quarter machines in the back, right next to the sports bar that also paid out pretty well too.

 

Although I never won a large amount, by the end of the cruise I had over $600. that I was able to put on our S&S card, and I was in the casino every night, usually until it closed.

In 2005 we won $418 on Bingo and then two hours later I won $1000 on the Wheel of Fortune slot. This happened on the last sea day and I ran straight to the Pursers desk to pay off my tab. In 2007 I won $400 twice on the Poker machines hitting 4 of a kind. Both cruises I have been a big winner on were coincidentally on the RC Rhapsody. I have more than donated my winnings to the Carnival Casino as I have never won anything substantial there.

On a Royal Carribean cruise approx 7 years ago a man won $25,000. Met them on an excursion and they were laughing how they were going to get it off the ship. Really nice couple - they were going to use it to pay for their daughters wedding.

Depends what you consider big. August 14th cruise Carnival Inspiration I won 600 on the .25 slots. I got 3 7's with one of them x2 and the other x5.

Last Sept hubby won $16000 on video poker and this march on the miracle $8000,Sons girlfriend won $1000 on wheel of fortune, casino host comped all our (family included) drinks for almost the whole cruise. :)

Hope to have the same luck in Sept on the Sensation.

On the Sensation, I won 650 dollars the first night. It was a combo of blackjack and 3 card poker. I hit a straight flush the very first hand ever playing 3 card. This year on the glory i won 350 dollars on roulette. Played my wedding day(23) and hit it 4 times in one sitting.
