Cozzette2 Posted August 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2010 I am new to Carnival but the prices are so great and we are taking a bunch of first time cruisers from 20 - 40 years old plus my dh and myself 50-60. I love the prices and think more family will be able to join us at these rates. I am looking at western Itineraries in Jan 2012 ships are: Glory Valor Liberty any personal preference? From the reviews they all sound great and they are priced about the same. Help please seasoned Carnival cruisers and thank you. Kris
CruzVinnieCruz Posted August 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2010 All things being equal on the pricing I would pick the Liberty over the other two ships. The interior of the ship is just so much nicer then the other two. It reminds me of an old time luxury liner. Vinnie
David148 Posted August 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2010 I would go with Liberty. Simple fact that it is the newest of the three ships you mentioned. I have sailed the Liberty and it is a nice ship. Good luck and have fuN! -David

jordanaire Posted August 28, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2010 Of the 13 Carnival cruises we've done so far, our favorite of all was aboard the Glory. Don't ask me why, because ALL of them have been fantastic. We just loved the ship, the staff and everything about this ship. We've sailed on Liberty as well and enjoyed her just as much! Can't say anything about Valor since we haven't been on her (yet) . I would take Glory! :cool:Bill

MamaParrotHead Posted August 28, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2010 I've sailed Valor (my 1st cruise, so she's special for that reason) and the Glory (my 1st cruise with my kids and extended famiyl, so she's special for THAT reason) and have Liberty up here in January 2011. I agree with the other posters that said "something about the Glory" that made it extra special for us. Nothing special about the decor or anything else, it was just a blast. Valor's decor was cool, except the MDR that looks like it's hosed with Pepto Bismol, but that made for lively conversation a few nights, LOL. They're all so similar, I'd look at price and itinerary over each specific ship. Good luck!
SueG Posted August 28, 2010 #9 Share Posted August 28, 2010 Glory if you are interested in a Serentiy Deck. Liberty does not have one yet. I really liked where the hot tubs are located on the Liberty. They sit back away from the pool. Besides that, they are pretty much the same. Decor means nothing to me when I cruise. Cozzette2 Posted August 28, 2010 Author #10 Share Posted August 28, 2010 Thank you so much for all your helpful replies, I am excited to try Carnival, and I guess the ship will come down to itinerary. Thanks again, Kris
yogimax Posted August 28, 2010 #11 Share Posted August 28, 2010 Glory is our favorite Carnival ship, especially for decor (with the exception of the garish theatre).
kokopops Posted August 28, 2010 #12 Share Posted August 28, 2010 How about a back to back to back cruise with all 3 ships?
Rotnkid49 Posted August 28, 2010 #13 Share Posted August 28, 2010 We have sailed on the Valor & the Glory, but not the Liberty as of yet. We loved both ships. Found the atrium on the Valor so very patriotic & loved that. But I agree with the OP, I too absolutely loved the Glory for some reason. Not even sure why I do. I dont think you will go wrong with whichever one you chose. Do eeny, meeny, lol.
