storing luggage / Victory

Sailing on the Victory in December and we have an inside cabin booked. Where can we store the luggage? When we sailed on Disney, we could easily store all the luggage under the bed. When the bed was lifted slightly, all of our luggage fit nicely underneath. We never had to trip over it the entire week. Does the bed lift up in Victory inside cabins?

Yes, you should be able to store all your luggage under the beds.

We stored it under the bed and in the closet. There was more than enough room for our bags, clothes, and the 2 of us.

Hmmm . . . I would say it depends on the luggage. DH and I just returned from the Victory, and we weren't so lucky. Some of it fit under the bed, but 2 suitcases had to be stacked on top of the cabinet where they keep the life jackets. That still kept it relatively out of the way.

I guess your luggage was bigger than mine! We put the 2 larger pieces in the first 2 closets. Then we each took one of these for our clothes and shoes and still had plenty of room.

Wow, Sally, looks like you had lots more closet room than we did!! Then again, not surprising I guess . . . we were "slumming" in an inside cabin ;)

Sorry, I forgot about that. How did you do with that? We had friends across the hall with an inside. I checked it out since I had never seen one. It looked OK, but I didn't look at closet space. I don't think we would be happy without the balcony. We really like going out there first thing in the morning.

Yeah, it was okay . . . bigger than I had expected, which made me happy . . . but I can tell you that I will NEVER ever book an inside cabin when the choice is mine to make! ;)

We stored most of our luggage under the beds on the Victory but had one large piece that would have fit except it was too deep. The room steward stowed it somewhere (??) for us and brought it back on packing day.
