Merion_Mom Posted September 17, 2010 Author #506 Share Posted September 17, 2010 The famous Laundry Lady: Yes, hundreds of people can see your balcony - it's on the BOARDWALK!!!!!! (and right next to the Concierge Lounge) EVERY day there was new underwear hanging there! Brace yourselves............here is another day. Merion_Mom Posted September 17, 2010 Author #507 Share Posted September 17, 2010 We were invited to tour the Bridge. If you have been on a Bridge Tour on a Sovereign class ship, and then on a Voyager class ship, you know what a shock it is to see a MUCH larger Bridge. Well, as you may expect, the Oasis' bridge is ENORMOUS.

Merion_Mom Posted September 17, 2010 Author #509 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Window washers - the bridge staff must be able to see!!!!! The Bridge overlooks the helipad, which is inaccessible to passengers on the Oasis, unlike other ships. We were invited to a Champagne Sailaway Party on the helipad one afternoon. Dirtgirl and IBookHePays were there, too!!! We could see Freedom in the distance. (I used the 10x zoom on my camera to get this picture) Make no mistake. They are watching you! Merion_Mom Posted September 17, 2010 Author #510 Share Posted September 17, 2010 The famous beer cooler package: I was walking past the Cupcake Cupboard one day while Alexandra was giving a cupcake making class. She said that I could take some pictures. Formal Night Food Porn. Fisherman's Platter: Lorna's dessert: Very famous dessert that matches the one in my signature:

Merion_Mom Posted September 17, 2010 Author #512 Share Posted September 17, 2010 This is what you see when you are sitting in the bar and look up: A view of the bar from the Deck 6 stairway at the aft end of the Royal Promenade. This is the Rising Tide's "station" in Central Park. The bar rises from the Royal Promenade (deck 5) to Central Park (deck 8.) If it's raining in Central Park, just grab an umbrella at one end, and put it in the umbrella rack at the other:

Merion_Mom Posted September 17, 2010 Author #514 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Having formed the idea of dinner, we now wanted some. But we weren't "that" hungry. AHA! Vintages! TAPAS!!!!! DELICIOUS. Great service, although they ran out of chicken, so Lorna ended up having crab croquettes and ...................... crab croquettes. My paella: Lorna's crab croquettes: Lovely, crisp white wine recommended by our waiter. Used BOGO coupon.

Merion_Mom Posted September 17, 2010 Author #518 Share Posted September 17, 2010 You know how the Schooner Bar always has that distinctive smell, because of the tar-impregnated ropes? We had a heck of a time finding them on the Oasis! Now, who would you rather have play for you in the Schooner Bar?!?!?!?!?
joey1 Posted September 17, 2010 #519 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Merion Mom - Was the Champagne Sail Away for D/D+ or a different group? This will be our first cruise as D+ and we are excited!! I have seen a list of the coupons that are in the book. Did you go more to the CL or the DL? What was on the menu for Breakfast/Lunch in the CL. I think that this is a new feature isn't it? Thanks for all the great info. We have around 73 days to go!!!

Carol - Do they serve any type of breakfast items in the Diamond Lounge? Thanks, Dee We only poked our heads into the Diamond Lounge once, on the day that we boarded the Oasis. It was empty. I do not *think*, however, that they SERVE breakfast - just the usual table set with some breakfast items. The menus for breakfast and lunch are posted in this thread. Breakfast: post #479 Lunch: post #473 I believe that the Champagne Sailaway was a D/D+ thing, but I have no way of verifying that now. And it WAS just Champagne. I have seen gatherings on the Helipad for suite passengers, and they had huge spreads of food. This was Korbel, and only Korbel. ;)

Merion_Mom Posted September 17, 2010 Author #523 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Oasis next to Majesty (How do you post the larger pictures?) Instead of using the message board's "attach files" function, upload your pictures to a photo website (I use webshots, but there are LOTS of them). Then you go to that website and it gives you the code to insert the photo into your post.
