Dining Advice

Thanks largely to advice on here hubby and I opted to request a table for 8 when we partake of our first cruise next month.

Our situation has now changed slightly as some friends of ours (another couple) have also joined the cruise!

We are very happy to dine with them each evening but now need to decide whether we stay on the requested table of eight or drop down to a four?

We will be doing different things during the day so we will not be in each others pockets the whole time. We enjoy each others company and get on well. None of us has a really strong opinion about what to do so what do you think?!?

We are a couple and have now been on three cruises with F.O. and on each one we have requested ( and been alocated) a table for 8. We like to socialise with others and have always had a good mixed bunch of table companions. As you now have some ready made friends it is slightly different as I am sure you would not want to be seen as a group to "dominate" the table. You may be wise to request a table for four. Whatever you decide I am sure that you will have great "F.O. experience"

In your situation I would ask for a table for four. If you decide on this contact Fred. Olsen asap and ask them to re-arrange things for small tables are much in demand.

As a regular with Fred. Olsen I know you will have an excellent cruise.

Hi

I would stick with an 8 if it was a round table, if it's a rectangular 8 then sometimes the 2 ends feel a little out of it.

Often if its 2 sets of 4 on an 8, then the second week if everybody is getting along we sometimes split, lady gent lady gent with the couples mixed if you see what I mean:confused: It all depends on the mood etc.

We like round tables the best, they really make the evening meal for us.
