If the price of your room goes down before you cruise and after final payment do you receive a OBC?? I have read several threads about not if you booked after May something 2010. But does that mean final payment had to be made by then or just your initial deposit???

Just your initial deposit. after that date there is no OBC for price drops on bookings made from that date forward.

Short answer, your initial deposit.

 

If you initially booked before May 17th, if the price drops after final payment has been made, you are still entitled to receive refundable OBC for the difference. If you booked on or after May 17th, you will not get OBC. You can, however, request an upgrade to a cabin that's now the same (or lower) price, though if lower you will still not receive OBC for the difference. If you want to upgrade to a cabin that's higher in price than what you already paid, you can do so by paying the difference.

 

There's also the Best Price Guarantee, but unless you first booked within 48 hours of the price drop, it won't apply.

 

Note that if there's a price drop before final payment is made, you can get a fare adjustment on the actual cost of the cruise. Note also that if you decide to make final payment before it's due, the OBC (or lack thereof) conditions kick in, not simply after the final payment due date. Essentially, once they have your money, your're stuck.
