wannabetraveler Posted September 5, 2010 Author #26 Share Posted September 5, 2010 I am very pleased by all the post. I get the fact that white gets dirty, but I would wear this in a port that I was going to do mainly walking with little sitting. Also want to wear this on the ship as I have cute warm weather tops that look great with white. Again thanks for all the great ideas.
janina Posted September 11, 2010 #27 Share Posted September 11, 2010 No sane person would ever call me a fashionista, so take this with a grain of salt, but I don't remember seeing much white even in the middle of the summer. I wear what I need to feel comfortable. Neat, clean, and respectful, but comfortable. One thing that amazed me the first time I was in Italy was the fact that people were wearing leather coats when it was 80 degrees during the day. It was mid-October, and I guess since it was fall, they were wearing fall clothing, regardless of the weather. Way too funny...I have noticed that too during my visits to Rome through the years!!!
dnbnor Posted September 24, 2010 #28 Share Posted September 24, 2010 I was in Italy last week with temperatures 75f plus. I and most of the tourists were wearing shorts and strappy tops but noticed the locals were already in their Autumn clothes, men in long trousers with jumpers draped around their shoulders and girls in boots ans pashminas. Mands&Ian Posted September 25, 2010 #30 Share Posted September 25, 2010 What is a men's jumper? Just curious. Never heard the expression. A long-sleeved sweater. Mands
