peatisback Posted September 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2010 I have seen some TAs offer Elite status for just the length of a cruise as an amenity similar to onboard credits, etc.. I noticed this several months ago, but have not seen it since. Is there a way to search for TAs that offer this amenity, and is it really worth it? PartyAllDaTyme Posted September 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2010 I don't believe it's the TA's that can offer "Elite-for-a-Cruise", it's Celebrity. You can request it, I suppose, but so can everyone else. AFAIK, they're being selective about who they offer it to, such as first-time cruisers that fit the profile of being likely repeat customers, if they get a little shove. I believe they are not offering it widely, lest it greatly dilutes the Elite experience for cruisers who got there the old-fashioned way, and overwhelms Michael's Club with these special cases. JeffCoud Posted September 4, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2010 Oh no! It's bad enough they let all that Royal Caribbean Crown and Anchor "Cubic Zirconia" Diamond trash on board as it is! Lol.... I'm just kidding people, lol....BUT, why have these plans if they don't actually mean anything? I got to CC Elite the old fashioned way! I actually think onboard "bennies" should go to price paid/suite category etc., on the quite reasonable theory of "you pay a lot of money you get a lot of stuff". dkjretired Posted September 4, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2010 There was a thread on that several months ago, I believe it was a temporary program offered by Celebrity not the TAs.

I have to agree...I don't book with a TA and was offered all the Elite perks because I booked a Royal Suite directly with Celebrity
