a poster hinted that there were great benefits for b2b sailings that only those passengers received-we were on b2b(2 7 days) and don't remember anything special...anyone get these "special ameneties"?

wait wrong thing...I have no idea. I know sometimes they do a lunch for B2B folks. But I can't imagine it would be too much with everyone trying to turn the ship.

We have done 3 B2Bs so far and did not get anything special, just a lunch.

We did a B2B last year on the Freedom and didn't even get a luncheon. We'll see what happens this year.

You only fly once for two weeks.

Only some RCCL ships give you a luncheon, not all of them.

We have done many B2Bs and received only two luncheons. That was on the last two of them.

On the second week we used to get either a plate of chocolate covered strawberries, a plate of finger foods, a bottle of wine, etc. to thank us for sailing the B2B. That was done away with a few years ago.

 

Benefits? For two 7 day cruises, you have a 14 day cruise and others have a 7 day cruise. ;)

 

There are no extra credits as the B2B is considered two separate cruises.

(Unless of course you sail in a JS or above cabin)

This may just be my schadenfreude coming out, but it is awful nice to sit back in a comfy chair overlooking the promenade and watch everyone debark, knowing that you have nowhere to be. I also like to get to know some of the staff, so those relationships get a little stronger.

I read some cruise docs for Oasis that said that they have a Consecutive Cruisers meeting where they serve mimosas and give debarkation day info about your seapass account

They had the consecutive cruiser meeting on Serenade - day before arrival. And they offer buy one get one free in the specialty restaurants for the first night - an offer already in the D+ coupon book but all B2Bers get it this way. They had the lunch but we got off the ship for the day. We were given an "in transit pass" and bypassed the line with this pass when we returned to the ship.

 

We packed our stuff for the move to the new room but all the clothes in the closet could remain there - they moved it for us and hung it in the new closet.

We've done two B2Bs. Nothing special for the first one which had about 40 people staying on. On the second one we had no idea if anyone else was staying on because there was no need to go through Customs. That time we were asked in advance by the Head Waiter about our dining room preferences for the second week so we had a Table for 2 with the wonderful waiters we'd just had. Plus we returned to our cabin on turnaround day to find slippers and lovely bathroom toiletries waiting for us and we found gifts on our bed two or three times during the second week. Very nice touches which made us feel appreciated.

The one thing I am looking forward to with our B2B is that at the end of the 1st leg I don't have to pack the night before & don't have to get up at some ungodly hour to eat breakfast :D

On the Oasis there was a meeting the end of the first week - There were people there to reserve show and restaurants for the second week.

I think it will also be nice on the first day of the second cruise that you will be able to fully enjoy the sail away events without worrying about bags that you should be unpacking! Usually I go up on deck for about 15 or 20 min of the sail away and then rush back to get unpacked and shower and change for dinner. There are often specials on massages the first day, I have never been able to take advantage of that either...

If you are a drinker, all the alcohol you buy the first week is given to you at the end of the 1st cruise, so now you have your booze available for the second week of the cruise. Same with any wine purchases you made ashore. CAN be a benefit if you drink.

That is so true - we booked the same JS AFT for both legs as soon as soon as the dates came out. Even if they do have a special luncheon for us, my sister said she still wants to go to the WJ for the honey-stung chicken.
