Luggage

What happens to your luggage? We are flying to Barbados to join our cruise. I have heard we do not need to collect our luggage from baggage reclaim as they do it and it is delivered to your cabin, but is this true?

Don't worry. The luggage will be outside your cabin door a few hours after you arrive on the ship. Maybe sooner.

The last time we flew into Barbados we went straight to the ship and our luggage was delivered to the stateroom door

The luggage is "bonded" here in the uK. On arrival you do not even enter the airport terminal but get straight on the coach or mini bus at the bottom of the aircraft steps and get taken straight to the ship.

 

Your luggage arrives sometime later. Take a change of clothes in your hand luggae as it can take several hours to arrive.

they say to allow 4 hours, most of my family got theirs quite quickly, but my son did not get his until 10pm, and he wasn,t the last, but they often have a problem with the tags falling off, so best to make sure that all your taga are secured really well.

In my hand luggage I take mini toiletries, make-up, curling tongs and, as Gill says, a change of clothes so that as soon as I get to the cabin I can shower and change ready for dinner without having to wait for my case to arrive.

 

We had to go to dinner once in the clothes we had travelled in and felt very scruffy!
