I've been around the block a few times, But I still don't know how the threads get different star ratings. And what does the paper clip mean.:)

Paper clip means there is an attachment(picture) in the thread. When they first made the change over to this new board, it was possible to add a rating for threads. That option have been disabled to everyone except hosts.
