snorkel gear rental on Princess

Does anyone know if Princess rents snorkel vests and fins aboard their ships? And if so, how much? Thanks!

In any snorkling excursion we've been on, the company running the adventure provides all the equipment you'll need, and it'll be included in the price of the excursion. All you need to bring are a towel and sunscreen!

I am aware of that. We are snorkeling on our own.

Officially, no. They won't let you rent gear if you're going on an independent snorkle trip (it's their business to sell *their* snorkle trips). Unofficially, we've found if you make friends with the scuba/snorkle instructors on the ship, they'll pretty much let you "borrow" anything (and let you use their hoses to rinse your gear afterward!).

 

No guarantees however. So if you want to make sure you've got gear--bring your own.

We rented snorkel equipment on Caribbean Princess in May 04 for $25. for the week. We went snorkeling on our own then at Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Princess Cays.

:) :) We always take our own gear no matter what but when we went to Princess Cay Island (Princess own Island in the Bahamas)--you supposed to use their gear provide when you want to snorkel--well we were hell raisers and used our own--nobody said anything.:) :)
