dsstasz Posted September 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2010 My daughter and fiance will be going on the Sensation 4/2011 for their honeymoon. They are looking at a suite but noticed that the gym is above them. How much noise will there be from the gym? Two of them are on the edge of the gym. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also, how tall are the balcony walls?
firefly333 Posted September 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Im not sure what you mean by balcony walls. .. there is a rail, I think its 4 ft, should be clear plexiglass. Then there are dividers between the balconys to separate you from the balcony next door, many of which can be removed if you want them open and share the balcony. Imo .. the only place to not be below is the treadmills. the rest was fine... we were right below the threadmills and from about 7 am, thump thump thump. The rest of the gym isnt used as much. dsstasz Posted September 16, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Meant the walls separating balcony from neighbors balcony. They are considering suite V9 or V14.
MSRussell Posted September 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2010 They are really high...they start 2 inches off the floor, and I believe, they are about 6 ft. high. Melanie

The is a stairway up from that deck that allows any one to look directly into the balconies. And when they reach the top of the stairs there is an observation deck where pepole can look out ahead of where the ship is headed, AND to the side of the ship, AND they can look all the way aft as well. When they are looking aft, they can also see all the VS balconies. Plus the suite itself is essentially the same as a regular Category 8 balcony cabin on any later ship. Rare Essiesmom Posted September 16, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Meant the walls separating balcony from neighbors balcony. They are considering suite V9 or V14. If they are anticipating privacy on a Verandah balcony, they are totally out of luck. This is a view of those cabins taken (on Sensation) from the viewing area above the bridge.
