Shopping in Dubai

has anyone any info on purchasing items in Dubai especially perfume.

Is it cheaper to buy in Duty Free or are the shops in Dubai good pricws. I have heard that hanbags are cheaper because they make a lot of the desighner bags but just wondered what other things were like.

The only things I found to be good value to buy in Dubai was gold items and then only from the Gold Souk.

 

Perfumes and hand bags could very easily be fakes (more likely than not), electrical goods fakes of if genuine then problems with warranty.

 

Buy the perfume in duty free.

 

Don't forget European wide the custom authorities are coming down very heavily on holiday makers who bring in fake goods, it used to be that you could get away with the €20 Rolex no even that it is being stopeed.
