Port information for oasis

Hi Friends,

 

Please tell me about visiting LABADEE, HAITI AND FALMOUTH, JAMAICA.

 

Planning on a cruise on Oasis next year and would like to know what i might find at these ports. I have been to Cozumel so no info needed from there.

Falmouth is not open yet. I think it won't be ready until early 2011?

Labadee is RCI's private beach....it's a beach day, pure and simple. they've recently added lots of things to take more of your money...roller-coaster, zip-lines, along with all of the other "for fee" beach things.

There is no reason to spend any money at this stop, if you don't want to....a BBQ lunch on the beach is included in your cruise fare. Any drinks will be charged to your account, just like on the ship. There are loungers, hammocks and chairs available all around, without any charge to you. Sun or shade...whichever is your preference. Several "beach" areas to choose from.

We just do a beach day without all the RCI sponsored "bells and whistles"...it's a lovely place.

Even tho it is on Haiti, you will NOT be allowed off of the "private" area, and no Haitians (except for those hired by RCI) will be allowed on.
